Greetings from Washington on this cooler, cloudy day. And we are loving it as it has been a really hot and dry summer. I can't remember the last time it rained. The lawn is totally dead. Last week we set lots of records and it reached triple digits! We had to sleep in the basement for a while.
Random thought: It is amazing how much of a tie there is between Lynden and West Michigan. I pick up tons of Calvin Alumni mail in the recycling and I think there is a Lynden Chapter of Calvin Alumni. Right before Christmas, I got a tip from a customer and so I had to make a little chit chat. He too was from Michigan. Where from? Oh, a little town called Dorr! I just started laughing when he said that. And then last week, I was working in the office and a guy comes in with a Seven's Paint shirt on! Once again, I just had to laugh. (his wife is from Grandville and his bro in law gave it to him)
I know none of you out there have done a single thing this summer because your blogs are dormant. Ha Ha. We still check almost everyday though... Also, we do enjoy your comments.
OK, on to the good stuff. I invited the guys from the BC ride to come check out my side of the border and 2 were able to make it so last Saturday we went for a ride. These are the same trails as we did with the trucks and all of the kids, but we had much better weather this time.
